　　《朱樹屏文集》收輯了朱樹屏先生1932年以來的各類論著、文章66篇，其中已公開發(fā)表的有：至今仍在國際學術界被廣泛應用的、被譽為經典和里程碑的“朱氏培養(yǎng)液” （THE INFLUENCE OF THE MINERAL COM-POSITION OF THE MEDIUM ON THE GROWTH OF PLANKTONIC ALGAE）和“朱氏人工海水”（N07E 0N THETECHNIQUE OF MAKING BACTERIA-FREE CULTURES OF MARINE DIATOMS），這兩篇均獲國際權威的英國海洋生物協(xié)會“雷蘭克斯特研究獎位（Ray LankeSter InvestigatOrShip）”的經典論著；有關海洋生態(tài)學、海洋化學、海洋漁業(yè)環(huán)境學、浮游生物學、浮游植物實驗生態(tài)及分類學、水產學、湖沼學等領域的重要論著；還有部分科普文章。文集還收輯有曾列為機密現(xiàn)已解密得以公開發(fā)表的中國各海區(qū)海洋綜合調查、漁業(yè)資源調查及河口調查的研究報告和論文；20世紀40-50年代有關海洋與水產農牧化的學術報告、研究論文以及電臺、雜志刊播的文章；在英國期間傳播中華文化、為支援祖國抗日進行募捐的演講稿等等。謹以此展現(xiàn)朱樹屏先生卓著的學術成就、淵博的學識和高尚的品格。

作者簡介

　　朱樹屏，1907年出生，1934年畢業(yè)于南京中央大學，1938年考取中英庚款公費留英，1941年獲英國劍橋大學哲學博士學位。歷任英國普利茅茨海洋研究所、英國淡水生物研究所研究員；英國淡水生物學會水產化學部、浮游生物部二部主任。1946年1月任美國伍茲霍爾海洋研究所高級研究員、藻類研究室主任。1946年底回國后相繼任云南大學教授、中央研究院動物所研究員，山東大學教授兼水產系首任系主任，中國科學院海洋生物研究室研究員，黃海水產研究所所長等。
