On July 1，2006，trains departed from Beijing，Shanghai，Guangzhouand Chengduon their first iourney to Lhasa.The enclosed streamlinedtrains sped at more than 100km／hon the 5.000-m-high Qinghai-TibetPlateau. The vast Hoh Xil Grassland flashed across thetrainwindows，with occasional Tibetan ante-lope or Chiru nibbling at theverdant grass and Tibetan wild ass running after thetrains.Far-away snow-capped mountaias radiated under the goldenSun.
